Joint world conference on social work, education and social development

 

Overview

The International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW), the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) and the Local Organising Committee invite people to attend this conference. The conference is hosted by the University of Melbourne and supported by local representatives Australia Association of Social Workers, Australian Council of Social Services and the Australian Council of Heads of Schools of Social Work. The theme for the conference is Promoting social and economic equality: responses from social work and social development.

The conference will bring together practitioners, researchers and educators from around the world who are engaged in Social Work and Social Development. The conference will continue the work of the global agenda, first set in Hong Kong in 2010 and then continued in Stockholm in 2012. Together with the Australian Association of Social Workers, the Australian Council of Heads of Schools of Social Work, and the Australian Council of Social Service, are planning an inspirational program in true Australian tradition.

Early bird registration closes Friday 2 May 2014.
