Australian Winter School conference

Overview

The conference is run by Lives Lived Well, one of Queensland's leading non-government support organisations for people struggling with alcohol, drug and other addictive behaviours, such as gambling.

The theme of this conference is Inspire, challenge, influence: be part of the conversation. The Australian Winter School has provided a unique forum for people working in the alcohol and other drug sector to share experiences and update skills. The conference also provides opportunities for professional networking and inter-sectoral collaboration, as well as lively discussion and debate.

The aim of this year's conference is to consider how the alcohol and other drugs sector has and is responding to past and emerging challenges, to identify new opportunities and to reflect collectively on how the sector can evolve to maximise benefits not only for our clients, but ultimately the communities in which we work and live.

Streams for the conference will look at following topics:

Call for abstracts close Friday 21 February 2014.
