National Indigenous Cancer Network roundtable

 

Overview

The theme of this event is Connecting, communicating and collaborating.

Launch of Australia's first Centre of Research Excellence in Cancer and Indigenous People the Centre of Research Excellence in Discovering Indigenous Strategies to Improve Cancer Outcomes Via Engagement, Research Translation and Training (DISCOVER -TT) aims to reduce the marked disparities in diagnosis, treatment and survival for Indigenous Australians with cancer. The centre will develop a coordinated, collaborative, Indigenous-led research program that builds on and extends recent work and brings together the key researchers in this area.

11.00am - 4.45pm
Bringing together over 100 representatives from a range of sectors, services and research groups involved in cancer to discuss and report on pathways and outcomes of care, improving models of care, service delivery and research priorities.
