Overview

The theme for this year's symposium is Strategic alliances: facing the challenges together in rural and remote mental health; working towards the wellbeing of rural Australia. The symposium will explore the challenges and the effectiveness of alliances between government, non-government organisations, and communities through presentations and evaluations of partnership initiatives. It will also examine 'diagnosable mild to moderate mental illness' in regional, rural, and remote Australia. The symposium is relevant to a diverse range of workers, including (but not limited to): policy makers; nurses; psychologists; academics; carers; and emergency service personnel.
