Overview

Organised by the Australian Lung Foundation, this 2 day workshop aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to implement pulmonary rehabilitation programs in the community setting on an individual or group basis and is targeted at all health professionals, allied health professionals and community based workers working within remote community health.

Sessions to enhance the education of clients and carers to improve coping skills and self management and enable active
participation in their own health care including:

• suggested educational sessions for clients with respiratory disease
• client assessment and developing a client program
• assessment tools such as spirometry, and six minute walk test and exercise prescription.
