Overview

The Northern Territory Medicare Local, Chronic Disease Network and Cancer Council Northern Territory present the Combined Network meetings. The meetings are open to anyone who is interested including - general practitioners, allied health, Aboriginal Health workers, nurses practice managers, workers, chronic disease staff, community workers. The theme for this year is Self management of chronic conditions.

The aims of the combined network meetings are to provide opportunities for local/regionally based service providers to network with other local service providers to access multiple services and information in one meeting and participate in locally based training and development opportunities

Confirmed speakers:

• Liz Kasteel - presenting on the self management framework
• Annie Villeseche - presenting on the updated physical activity guidelines
• Jo Watts - presenting on alerting health professionals to think about when their clients/patients are in the last year of life and then be able to have the discussions that need to take place.

Combined network meeting dates are:

• 1 May - Darwin
• 18 June - Gove
• 13 August - Katherine
• 29 October - Tennant Creek
