RI Australia 2012 Forum: 'Taking the roof off housing!'

 

Overview

This housing forum is hosted by RI Australia, the national disability rights network. The forum includes a panel discussion about Indigenous housing needs.

The panel discussion will bring together Indigenous community representatives, designers, environmentalists and researchers to assess the new housing being erected under the Government's Strategic Indigenous housing and infrastructure program (SIHIP) and the Sustainable accommodation innovation fund (SAIF). The discussion takes as its premise the fact that public housing must be accessible, affordable and culturally appropriate to meet the needs of Aboriginal individuals and families in community and urban settings.

Speakers who will participate in the discussion of Indigenous housing are:

Registrations close at 5pm on Friday 16 November. This forum is registered for 6 CPD points by the Master Builders Association of New South Wales.
