How can research change the world? In the past, it was usually assumed that research results would somehow trickle down in a process known as passive diffusion without much attention given to the exact mechanisms or the intended target audience. Translating the evidence into practice requires research that bridges the gap between discovery and delivery.
This year's Colloquium explores the exciting new science of putting evidence into practice. Key note speaker Professor Alison Kitson is internationally renowned as a leader in the science of knowledge translation and implementation. Locally, we'll showcase three innovative Menzies research programs that have achieved world-class success in translating research into significant change in health care and health outcomes.
