Overview

The Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) is organising this training which is conducted by Living Works.

Living Works' mission is to create learning experiences that help communities prevent suicide. ASIST is a two day skills-based training program focusing on the role of suicide prevention.

During ASIST participants will:

• discuss suicide risk and safety openly and directly
• consider how attitudes and experiences affect helping
• learn and apply a model for suicide first aid intervention
• share ways to care for and support yourself as a helper.
