Overview

This free two-day training program is devoted to Aboriginal perinatal and infant mental health and attachment. The training is suitable for anyone who works with Aboriginal mothers and families.

Perinatal and infant mental health issues can have long lasting effects on families. What limited evidence there is suggests that this is particularly true for Aboriginal families. There has been limited training in this area to assist people working with Aboriginal families. St John of God Health Care Social Outreach and Advocacy Services invites you to join their training program, which will cover:

• cultural awareness and engagement
• Aboriginal child rearing
• attachment
• case studies.
