Close the Gap seminar

Overview

Close the Gap is Australia's largest ever campaign to improve Indigenous health. Supported by more than 40 Indigenous and non-Indigenous organisations including the campaign calls on federal, state and territory governments to commit to closing the life expectation gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians within a generation.

Mr George Walley Manager, Nidjalla Waangan Mia Health Centre, will introduce two guest speakers:

This event will provide an opportunity for health professionals and interested members of the community to network over afternoon tea. As well as becoming further informed about the challenging issues associated with inequality in health between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians at both a local and regional level, this seminar aims to raise public awareness regarding Close the Gap issues and provide information about local services.
