Abstract

These guidelines have been developed for non-Indigenous psychiatrists, and those in training, on how to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities. The guidelines encourage psychiatrists to consider the social and historical context of Indigenous health so they can better respond to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
