Abstract

This webpage lists alcohol restrictions that are in place in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across far north Queensland and Cape York. The information is intended for travellers through these areas. Information covered includes:

  • which communities have alcohol limits?
  • fines and penalties
  • 'bona fide' traveller exemption
  • rules that apply to all vehicles
  • police powers.
