The aim of this project was to: find out what people within the justice sector knew about Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), their attitudes towards children and adolescents who may have a disorder in the spectrum, and their current practices in dealing with FASD identify the training and information needs relating to FASD within the justice system, so that people with FASD may receive appropriate consideration within the justice system and referral for appropriate services within and outside the justice system.
The aims of the research were to: assess justice professionals’ awareness and knowledge of Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) assess the perceived impact of FASD on practice within the justice system identify the information needs relating to FASD for the justice system in Western Australia (WA).
