The Disability 2010-11: comparing performance across Australia report is the third report on the National disability agreement. The National disability agreement has three outcomes which aim to achieve the objective that people with disability and their carers have an enhanced quality of life and participate as valued members of the community. This report is the first report that has been able to examine the progress of the outcomes within a range of indicators over time.
One of the key findings of this report was that nationally the employment to population ratio for people with disability remained unchanged and was significantly lower than people without disability. Western Australia was one of the exceptions as it was reported to have significantly increased it's employment to population ratio for people with disability.
It was reported that there was a small increase in the use of state and territory disability support services. There was also an increase in the use of open employment services by Indigenous people, but the supported employment services remained constant.
