Deadly tenants, deadly homes

by Western Australian Department of Housing

Year 2013
City Perth, WA
Publisher Western Australian Department of Housing

These short videos are intended for Indigenous tenants in remote Western Australia (WA) who are living in new or refurbished community housing under a housing management agreement with the WA Department of Housing.

The videos aim to give tenants a better understanding of the implementation of the new rent model for remote Aboriginal housing in WA and of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA).

The videos are shown to tenants before they meet with their housing officer to sign a new tenancy agreement.

Each of the six videos in the series are available in the Kriol, Walmajarri and English language. The six videos are:

  • Changes are coming
  • Rights and responsibilities under the RTA
  • Your rent is changing
  • Talk to your housing officer about household changes
  • Everyone cleans up house and yard
  • Tenancy meeting with your housing officer.

The videos are integrated with a Deadly tenants, deadly homes facebook page.
