The July 2004 - September 2004 issue of the Australian Indigenous HealthBulletin is now 'in progress' and available online. The purpose of the HealthBulletin is to facilitate access to information of relevance to Australian Indigenous health. Reflecting the wide range of our users - policy makers, service providers, researchers, students and the general community - the HealthBulletin attempts to keep people informed of current events of relevance, as well as information about recent research.
As with all areas of our site, we welcome your assistance and contributions in making the Australian Indigenous HealthBulletin as useful as possible. Programs
Policies
Available information about the policy context and administration of Indigenous health (view HealthInfoNet policies and administration webpage) has been updated, expanded and restructured to maximise its usefulness to our variety of users. We are still in the process of developing content for this section but have decided to make available the information we have already compiled.
User guides
Our website is now so large – and the information we provide so diverse – that users may be unaware of the full range of resources available to them. We are currently developing guides to explain all major sections and features on the site. The guides are designed to meet the interests and needs of our different user groups, including Indigenous health workers, other health professionals, policy makers, researchers, students and the general public.
Indigenous health worker guide
The Indigenous health worker guide is now available (view guide - average download on 56K connection: 30 secs). Guides to meet the needs of other user groups will be made available in coming months.
