National consortium

Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Tobacco Control (CEITC)
CEITC, which is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, aims to aid the growth in knowledge about Indigenous tobacco control by bringing together knowledge from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and tobacco control organisations from around the country. The Centre promotes the Indigenous Tobacco Control Online Network, where members can exchange information and receive regular updates on Indigenous tobacco control. CEITC's largest projects focus on health worker training and resource development.

Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (SA) Inc.
The Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (ADAC) aims to ensure the development of effective programs to reduce harm related to substance misuse in Aboriginal communities, through providing information and advice for the Aboriginal community, the wider community and for relevant professionals and institutions.

Queensland

Kurbingui Youth Development Association (KYDA)
The name 'Kurbingui' from the Turrabul language means 'The transition from boy to man'.  The KYDA mission is to address the disadvantage and poverty experienced by Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth through the provision of programs and services designed to alleviate isolation, poverty, discrimination and unemployment. They offer a range of training, employment and family programs. KYDA employs an alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs project worker to address alcohol, tobacco & illicit drugs issues through its Yeaca Dhargo Family Project.

Australian National Council on Drugs (ANCD)
The ANCD was established as part of the Federal government's response to reduce the harm caused by drugs in the community. An important component of the ANCD's work is to ensure that policies, strategies and directions in the drug and alcohol field are consistent with the National Drug Strategic Framework. The ANCD website provides information on drug use in Australia, news and events, and reports and publications.

Ministerial Council on Drug Strategy
The Ministerial Council on Drug Strategy (MCDS) brings together Commonwealth, State and Territory Ministers responsible for health and law enforcement to collectively determine national policies and programs to reduce the harm caused by drugs. The MCDS is the peak policy and decision-making body in relation to licit and illicit drugs in Australia and is one of the key elements of Australia's National Drug Strategy.

Australian Drug Foundation (ADF)
The Australian Drug Foundation (ADF) is an independent, non-profit organisation that works to prevent and reduce alcohol and other drug problems in the Australian community. The ADF site provides information on upcoming events, copies of corporate publications, an archive of media releases and specialist library databases. There are sections of the site designed specifically for students, teachers, parents, relatives and significant others wanting to find out more about drugs and drug use. Cancer Council Australia
The Cancer Council Australia is Australia's national non-government cancer control organisation and includes eight state and territory cancer organisations, working together to undertake and fund cancer research, prevent and control cancer and provide information and support for people affected by cancer. The Koori DrugInfo website was developed as part of the Koori Access Project. Te Reo Marama: Maori Smokefree Coalition (NZ)
