Australian Institute of Sport (AIS)
The AIS is the official institute of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and leads the development of elite sport and is widely acknowledged in Australia and internationally as a world best practice model for elite athlete development.

Department of Health and Ageing
The Department of Health and Ageing seeks to provide better health and healthier ageing for all Australians. The Nutrition and Physical Activity Section is responsible for the promotion of health-enhancing physical activity to improve the health and well-being of the Australian population.

OATSIH is a section of the Department of Health and Ageing, providing funding to Aboriginal community controlled health services.

Sport and Recreation Minister's Council (SRMC)
The SRMC provides a forum for cooperation and coordination between the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments on matters relating to the development of sport and recreation in Australia. The Council is supported by the Standing Committee on Recreation and Sport.

Strategic Inter-Governmental Nutrition Alliance (SIGNAL)
The Strategic Inter-Governmental Nutrition Alliance (SIGNAL) is a sub committee of the National Public Health Partnership, established to coordinate action to improve the nutritional health of Australians.

Strategic Inter-Governmental Forum on Physical Activity and Health (SIGPAH)
SIGPAH is a collaborative body which coordinates a national approach in supporting health-promoting physical activity in Australia.

State and Territory

Department of Health and Community Services Northern Territory - Aboriginal Health
This section of the Northern Territory DHCS recognises that tackling the underlying causes of Aboriginal health problems holistically, and providing health services within a primary health care framework are the most appropriate community and health sector responses to the Aboriginal health problem.

Department of Health South Australia - Aboriginal Health
This section of the SA Health Department links to information that recognises the specific healthcare needs of Aboriginal people in acknowledgement that Aboriginal people often need to deal with specific health issues that are additional to those faced by the community as a whole.

Department of Health Western Australia - Aboriginal Health
This section of the WA Health Department has an interest in the health of Aboriginal people and supports that interest with a wide range of services and new ways of working with Aboriginal communities, general practitioners, hospitals and non-government organisations to improve Aboriginal health.

Department of Human Services Victoria - Koori Health
The Koori Health approach to health is holistic and refers to the social, emotional and cultural well-being of the whole community. Koori Health is committed to addressing health in a whole of life view, incorporating the cyclical concept of life-death-life and the relationship to the land.

Institutes of Sport
In conjunction with State and Territory governments, the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) founded, and assists in the management of, individual State and Territory sport institutes. These institutes are responsible for the development and promotion of sporting programs and athletes within their own jurisdictions.

New South Wales Health - Aboriginal Health
This section of NSW Health plans, delivers and coordinates local health services, and is responsible for providing services such as public and and community health, public hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, emergency transport, acute care, rehabilitation, counselling, and community support programs.

Office of Aboriginal Health - Western Australia
The Department of Health in Western Australia established the Office of Aboriginal Health in order to work in partnership with Aboriginal communities and health service providers to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receive culturally appropriate health care that meets their needs.

Premier's Physical Activity Taskforce
Physical Activity Taskforces have been implemented by the Premier's of New South Wales, Tasmania, and Western Australia as a strategy to address the problems of physical inactivity and associated health problems.

Clontarf Football Academy - Western Australia
The Clontarf Foundation currently has six Academies across the state of Western Australia, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boys. Boys who are enrolled at Clontarf Aboriginal College, and academy participants need to show commitment towards training and the education program in order to maintain maintain their position within the academy.

Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperation - Victoria
The Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative offers Koori health education, spiritual wellbeing, maternal and child health, family support service, promoting Koori community needs, and offers prevention programs through active sporting events.

Lower Murray Nungas Club (LMNC) - South Australia
LMNC is the home of the Ngarruwarrin Youth Program, which focusses on providing culturally relevant youth health programs throughout the Lower Murray region, including football, netball, basketball, soccer, cricket, and gymnasium facilities.

National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO)
NACCHO is the peak Aboriginal health body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in Australia, representing local Aboriginal community control at a national level to ensure that Aboriginal people have greater access to effective health care across Australia.

Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community - South Australia
The Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community fosters important links with the Mallee Park Football and Social Club in Port Lincoln, which promotes football and other physical activities for members of the Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community.

Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative - Victoria
The Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative started on the river flats between Shepparton and Mooroopna and the housing project was officially opened and named 'Rumbalara' (meaning rainbow). The Cooperative has also initiated the Rumbalara Football Netball Club.

Wangka Wilurrara Region - South Australia
The Wangka Wilurrara Region provides sporting and recreation programs throughout the communities and homelands within the Wangka Wilurrara Regional Council boundaries.
