Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service Victoria (VIC)
FVPLS Victoria is funded by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department for counselling services in:

  • Barwon South West region
  • Gippsland region
  • Mildura, Robinvale, Wentworth, Dareton.

In other regions, FVPLS Victoria can refer to appropriate counselling services.

Indigenous Psychological Services is a private company founded by Dr Tracy Westerman, an Indigenous psychologist. IPS was developed to address the level of Indigenous people' s access to psychological services, through the provision of training, community based interventions, research and consultancy services.

Kimberley Stolen Generation Aboriginal Corporation (WA)
The Kimberley Stolen Generation Aboriginal Corporation consists of members of the Stolen Generation of the Kimberley and their families. The corporation has a Link-Up Service, which organises reunions and other activities for Stolen Generation people across the Kimberley. The corporation can organise talks about Stolen Generation history for schools and other groups.

Centre for Mental Health (NSW)
The Centre for Mental Health is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating NSW Health Department policy in relation to mental health services. This includes developing, implementing and monitoring strategies for transition to the mental health service development agreed under the National Mental Health Strategy and the Australian Health Care Agreements.
The Centre is also responsible for developing and maintaining the regulatory framework for the delivery and monitoring of mental health services under the Mental Health Act 1990 and related legislation affecting clients of mental health services.

Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention (WA)
The Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention (MCSP) was formed as part of a State-wide strategy to address the problem of youth suicide that had emerged as a concern in the late 1980s. The council monitors and extends suicide prevention initiatives across the state. The MCSP coordinates suicide prevention initiatives and develops strategies that will reduce suicide amongst those age and population sub groups known to be at high risk of suicide. This includes prevention of suicide among Aboriginal youth.
