National Road Safety Strategy Panel
The National Road Safety Strategy Panel provides advice on road safety matters to the Australian Transport Council. The Motor Accidents Authority is a statutory corporation that regulates the NSW Motor Accidents Scheme. This is the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) personal injury insurance scheme for motor vehicles registered in New South Wales.

StaySafe
The Staysafe (Joint Standing Committee on Road Safety) is a current joint standing committee, established in NSW in 2007.
The STAYSAFE Committee was established to investigate and report on road safety matters in New South Wales. Its terms of reference include the review of countermeasures to reduce the incidence and severity of road crashes, and the monitoring of actions taken to address the social and economic consequences of road trauma.
The STAYSAFE Committee consists of 10 Members of Parliament (7 Members of the NSW Legislative Assembly and 3 Members of the NSW Legislative Council.

Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland
The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland (CARRS-Q) is a joint venture initiative of the Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT). The aim of CARRS-Q is to decrease the burden of trauma-related harm in the community through education and collaborative research. The centre is a nationally recognised, university-based research centre with a research and consultancy profile. CARRS-Q has collaborative research linkages and activities with government, other universities, and commercial organisations.
