The Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
(OATSIH) commissioned the development of a set of resources
for primary health care providers outlining evidence on the
treatment of middle ear infection in this high-risk population.
The package includes:
- the comprehensive guidelines Recommendations for clinical care guidelines on the management of otitis media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations;
- a plain language summary The management of middle ear infection in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations; and
- the Systematic review of existing evidence and primary care guidelines on the management of otitis media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.

1. Could this child have a middle ear infection (otitis media)
2. Management of bilateral otitis media with effusion (OME) in high-risk populations3. Management of acute otitis media (AOM) without perforation in high-risk populations
4. Management of acute otitis media (AOM) with perforation in high-risk populations
5. Management of chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) in high-risk populations
6. Management of dry perforation in high-risk populations
7. Could this child have an important hearing loss due to middle ear infection?
