Promoting Koori health
- stories of the VicHealth/VACCHO Koori health promotion projects.
The VicHealth/VACCHO Koori Community Health Promotion Projects funding round was conducted during 1998-99. The guidelines offered up to $6,000 to Koori community controlled health organisations to conduct projects to promote the health of focal communities. A total of 22 projects involving 24 organisations were funded.
VACCHO received additional funding to produce a book recording the progress and outcomes of the projects, for use by Koori community organisations and as a tool to inform and stimulate debate on existing community funding practices.
The final publication provides a record of the project developments, activities and outcomes. It also outlines the challenges which each project encountered and the successes and learnings from each project.
