12th National Health Promotion Conference: Inequalities in health - reflecting back, stepping forward.
29 October - 1 November 2000, Hotel Sofitel, Melbourne, Victoria.

Victorian Aboriginal Health Service staff
Onsite visit to the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.

The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) is a community-controlled health service providing primary health care to Kooris in metropolitan Melbourne. The following services are provided: medical and dental care; specific services and programs for women and children; mental health services for children, adolescents and adults; and various community programs. We would like to invite conference participants to visit the VAHS for a closer look at how the service operates. A brief talk outlining the various service areas, will be followed by a tour of the health service. Each area will have displays of their activities and staff will be available to answer any specific questions. The visit is intended to complement the VAHS presentations at the conference venue.
