Victorian Koori Eye
Health Project.
The Victorian Koori Eye Health Project works collaboratively with Koorie Diabetes Services and the Well Persons Check Program in addressing the barriers to access for Koori people in Victoria to affordable screening and treatment services foe eyedisease. The project provides information, advocacy, education and equipment to enable community controlled health organisations to conduct their own screening and early intervention activities in a culturally safe context and location. The project also contributes to the education of mainstream services in the history and culture of Koori people to help improve collaboration between services and communities.
