The 1st National Conference on Mental Health of Persons Affected by Family Separation
10 October - 11 October 2002, Sydney, New South Wales

This conference is the first of its kind to address the extensive mental health affects caused by family separation, through adoption, State wardship government policy etc. Among the presenters were representatives from Indigenous groups from Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria. Included among the conference abstracts are Indigenous stories about family separation.

Reproductive Health, Taking Care of Tomorrow's World
2 July - 5 July 2002, Emmanual College, University of Queensland

Consistent with the growing international and interdisciplinary nature of reproductive health, this conference considered diverse issues relating to different communities (including Indigenous Australian communities) and a range of appropriate responses.
