The conference poster promotes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander eye health and focuses on information about trachoma health promotion. The resource highlights the health promotion strategies put into place in the Northern Territory. The poster looks at population strategies for 2015-2020 into the elimination of trachoma.

Closing the gap for vision: developing a culturally appropriate Indigenous health promotion strategy for diabetes related eye care [conference poster].

This conference poster is designed to build awareness of culturally appropriate ways to develop health promotion strategies for diabetes related eye care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It highlights the need for the following:

  • best practice approaches to guide resource development
  • community lead processes to ensure success
  • broad community support
  • digital outputs for further reach through community networks
  • print outputs to support education
  • evaluation to measure uptake of services.

The poster also highlights two audiovisuals 'See What I See' -Looma Diabetes Eye Health and See Tomorrow - Grampians Region 'Diabetes Eye Health'.
