Skywest Airlines have generously provided return flights for two HealthInfoNet research staff between Perth and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (WA).
The research staff will be delivering a series of workshops to health practitioners and workers over a week in Kalgoorlie during June. The HealthInfoNet workshop project, funded by Healthway (WA's health promotion foundation) aims to reach 2,000 frontline workers working in the area of Indigenous health in WA. The workshops aim to increase awareness and access to the HealthInfoNet web resource, and assist in building the capacity of the health workforce to 'close the gap' in Indigenous health.
Skywest currently flies to Kalgoorlie from Perth three times a week - and will be flying twice every weekday to Kalgoorlie from July 2nd - and once a week direct from Melbourne. Flights are available to book online (www.skywest.com.au) or by calling toll free on 1300 66 00 88. The HealthInfoNet is grateful for the support from Skywest, WA's leading airline.
