Cancer Council WA is running courses on cancer education for Aboriginal Health Workers

Date posted: 9 May 2012

The Cancer Council of Western Australia (WA) is calling for applications for their metropolitan Cancer education course for Aboriginal health professionals.

The Cancer Council has already planned to run the course in two different locations. One will run in Broome at the end of May, and targets health workers in the Kimberley. The other is located in the Perth metropolitan area, applications for which are now open.

The four to five day course aims to increase the cancer knowledge of participants by providing information about cancer, treatment and the impact of the disease to improve the care of Aboriginal people with cancer.

Registration is free, and applications close on Monday 21 May, 2012.
