Applications for Western Australian nursing and midwifery fellowships now open

Applications are now open for six nursing and midwifery fellowships, offered by the Nursing and Midwifery Office of Western Australia's (WA) Department of Health.

WA nurses and midwives are encouraged to apply for one of the six fellowships, which include an Aboriginal Health fellowship. The fellowships are worth up to $20,000 each.

The funds can be used to:

• help nurses and midwives visit and learn from other healthcare sites
• fund a practice improvement or small research project
• support nurses and midwives to take time off work to complete their masters or PhD thesis.

Applications opened today (9 May 2012) and close on 20 June 2012. Further application information can be found on the Nursing and Midwifery Office website.
