World Heart Day - 29th September, 2012

Date posted: 3 May 2012

World Heart Day was created in 2000 to inform people around the globe that heart disease and stroke are the world's leading cause of death. This year in continuation from the 2011 theme of home heart health, 2012  will be the year of cardiovascular disease prevention among women and children.  World Heart Day takes place on 29 September each year, and national activities such as public talks and screenings, walks and runs, concerts or sporting events are organised worldwide by members and partners of the World Heart Federation.
