The HealthInfoNet has a rating system based on its logo - the gecko. The number of geckos at the top of each health topic is used to provide an indication of the coverage of that topic. The rating system ranges from one to five geckos, a 5-gecko rating applying to those sections with the highest level of coverage and a 1-gecko rating applying to areas with limited coverage. A 5-gecko rating indicates that coverage of the topic is comprehensive (including a review of the topic) and that the topic has its own dedicated yarning place. A topic with comprehensive coverage but lacking either a review or a dedicated yarning place has a 4-gecko rating.
The Indigenous cardiovascular disease web resource (the HeartInfoNet) has recently been upgraded to a four-gecko rating. This follows the publication of the comprehensive Summary of the cardiovascular health status of Indigenous peoples.
