$10m in community projects to reduce risky drinking

As part of the Gillard Government's National binge drinking strategy, communities around Australia will receive funding for projects to combat risky drinking. Local government and community organisations can now apply for grants of up to $500,000 for projects that will help to reduce risky drinking amongst young Australians. A total of $10 million will be available under this round of the grants program. Further grant information details, including application forms and program guidelines, can be found on the Australian National Preventive Health Agency's website.
