The Australian Drug Foundation today commended the Victorian Government for their move to protect children from alcohol harm by introducing Victoria's first secondary supply law. The law will make it illegal for any person to give a child alcohol on private property without parental permission. Secondary supply laws are already in place in New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland, where fines have been issued around schoolies week supply. The Foundation is hoping the Victorian Government's initiative encourages other Governments to step up and follow suit.
