The National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Physiotherapists, Inc. (NAATSIP), is a not-for-profit organisation established by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander physiotherapists and physiotherapy students.
NAATSIP represents the largest assembly of Indigenous Australian physiotherapists and students. All full members of the association, including the Executive Committee, are physiotherapists or students of Indigenous Australian heritage.
NAATSIP was incorporated on 21 January 2011 and has a vision of improving the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians. NAATSIP aims to provide cultural and professional support to its members, and to advocate for the appropriate use of physiotherapy. They also offer a mentoring program for Indigenous Australian students who are currently completing their physiotherapy degree. NAATSIP is looking to build strong partnerships with communities, organisations and services, professional bodies, practitioners and Government.
