The annual The Mental Health Services conference (TheMHS) commences today, 26 August in Perth, Western Australia, and will run until Friday 29 August. The theme of the conference this year is What we share makes us strong.
TheMHS conference will be a vehicle to challenge and shift attitudes about mental health issues, and aims to provide an interactive, stimulating and creative environment for participants to enjoy, participate, learn and share.
Keynote speakers this year are Pat Bracken, Melody Reifer, and Ken Thompson, and the conference will include sessions specific to the mental health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The HealthInfoNet will be hosting a café on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 August, and HealthInfoNet Director Professor Neil Drew will be presenting a paper on Translational research and Indigenous social and emotional wellbeing: from research to action on Thursday 28 August.
