Yamba and Milpa Roadshow travelling to SA to fight against trachoma

Date posted: 21 July 2014

Two of Central Australia's most popular and loved characters have joined forces help prevent trachoma.

Milpa the Goanna, the trachoma awareness mascot, is travelling with Yamba the Honeyant and best friend Jacinta Price on their first Yamba and Milpa Trachoma Roadshow. They will be taking the message of ‘clean faces means strong eyes’ to the APY Lands of South Australia, using music, songs, dance and actions.

The first Yamba and Milpa Trachoma Roadshow begins next week with both characters being ANTastically excited about seeing everyone and sharing that a clean face means strong eyes.

The Roadshow is being supported by Country Health SA and The Indigenous Eye Health Unit at the University of Melbourne.
