Meet the mob: James Charles

Date posted: 20 June 2014

With a partner and five sons, James Charles spends a lot of time on his feet. Before moving to Lake Macquarie he was a podiatrist in Adelaide.

Now a Lecturer in the School of Medicine at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, he talks to Jill Emberson, mornings presenter on 1233 ABC Newcastle, Meet the mob, where he talks about feet and Indigenous culture.

He's also doing research into the health of Aboriginal feet.

James said 'The health of Aboriginal feet has been ignored by medical research. As a podiatrist, I can't walk away from that.'
