FOODcents week

Date posted: 19 May 2014

This week marks the start of the FOODcents week in Western Australia (WA), which is dedicated to raising awareness of the FOODcents program.

Running from 19-25 May 2014, the celebration this year marks the 20th anniversary of the program.

FOODcents is an education program that aims to help families achieve a healthy diet and save money on their grocery shopping. There is an Indigenous branch of the program that is run by the WA Department of Health, which provides information around budgeting, cooking sessions and supermarket tours.
