Vibe 3on3 event encouraging healthy lifestyles with action packed activities

Date posted: 28 February 2014

The town of Leeton in Victoria is to host the upcoming Vibe3on3 event on Saturday, a traveling sport and music festival. The event brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, featuring a 3on3 basketball tournament, rapping and break dancing lessons, art workshops, a dance competition and a health expo, all accompanied by a backing track of the latest RnB, hip hop and Indigenous music.

Event executive producer Gavin Jones said there would be something for all students on the day. 'We are looking forward to providing a fun-filled and healthy day with lots of activities and learning.'

The health expo will bring together local and regional health organisations together, so students can connect with the health providers in their communities, and learn about health in a fun, engaging and interactive environment. 'There will be interactive elements and giveaways, and lots of information for young people from healthy living through to good mental health and nutrition,' said Wagga sportsman, Joe Williams.

The next Vibe 3on3 event is being held on the 7 May 2014 in Bunbury, Western Australia. For more information, and to register, please refer to the links below.
