Robert de Castella appointed AO for community work and mentoring Indigenous athletes

Australian sporting great Robert De Castella has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for his community work and mentoring of Indigenous athletes.

De Castella's work with Indigenous athletes includes founding the Indigenous marathon project which aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles throughout Indigenous communities and to create inspirational Indigenous role models.
