Funding enables new physical activity programs for Indigenous communities in NSW

Date posted: 22 January 2014

New South Wales (NSW) Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Services (ACCHS) have utilised funding to create positive outcomes in the Indigenous community, by creating culturally appropriate physical activity programs.

The funding was secured by the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW through the Medibank Community Fund, with the aim to create sustainable opportunities for Indigenous community members by encouraging participation in regular physical activity programs.
