Indigenous and environment workers in East Gippsland are working together to rehabilitate parts of the bush and learn about its cultural history.
The East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (CMA) and the Gunai Kurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLAWAC) are working together on a number of projects that are so far proving successful. Rehabilitation is being done at Forge Creekes near Bairnsdale, at Livingstone Creek near Omeo and Wentworth Creek near Mt Hotham.
