Launch of the Marie Bashir Institute for Infectious Diseases and Biosecurity

The Marie Bashir Institute for Infectious Diseases (MBI) will be officially opened on Thursday next week. The Institute is committed to research and knowledge exchange for improved understanding of the interactions that give rise to the emergence and spread of infectious diseases, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.

MBI aims to meet the challenge of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, by:

MBI was formerly known as The Sydney Emerging Infections and Biosecurity (SEIB) Institute.
