New sporting program in central Australia hits cultural home run

Young Indigenous women attending the National Indigenous Training Academy in central Australia are making cultural connections and learning about their history through a new softball program.

The Indigenous women who come from city areas all over Australia to learn skills in hospitality, catering, and housekeeping, are participating in the sporting competition which is designed to provide them the chance to connect with people from remote areas, and learn more about the central Australian Indigenous culture.
