RHDAustralia has commenced hosting seminars on acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) to share knowledge with health workers, clinicians, remote area nurses and students.
The first of these seminars was held recently in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Delivered by expert speakers, the seminar included a broad range of information on prevention and management of the disease, and raised awareness of ARF and RHD in remote communities across Australia. RHDAustralia is hoping to host similar events in the near future.
