Thirteen year old Indigenous footballer Ezra Kennell, of Mackay Queensland has returned home triumphant after representing Queensland Country in the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) National Youth Championships.
Kennell is proud of his participation on the national stage, and his highlight of the tournament was scoring a goal in the 7-0 defeat of the Northern Territory. His team, Queensland Country, were just short of winning the group honours for their division, beaten only by the Western Australian team.
Kennell's next football pursuit will be to attend a football coaching clinic tour of the United Kingdom with 15 other young football stars.
