Indigenous man Grayson Scott, a diabetes sufferer of ten years, is thankful to the staff of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Medicare Local's Care co-ordination and supplementary services (CCSS) program for improving his diabetes prognosis and saving his foot from being amputated: a complication associated with diabetes.
Mr. Scott, who was once homeless, also reports that the holistic approach to healthcare of the CCSS helped him to organise housing and has improved other areas of his health.
