Take heart - the untold cost of rheumatic heart disease

Date posted: 19 September 2013

The Take heart project has recently spent time in the Northern Territory filming the story of a young Indigenous teenager, Liddywoo, who suffers from rheumatic heart disease (RHD) and has had three open-heart surgeries in five years.

Take heart is a four year international project that aims to raise global awareness of RHD through documentary film, with the ultimate goal of reducing or eliminating the disease.
