The 2013 Deadly Awards have celebrated Indigenous Australian sporting achievement across a variety of categories. AFL player Adam Goodes was a big winner for the evening, receiving both the AFL Player of the Year award and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lifetime Achievement award.
Other winners in the sporting category included Mariah Williams, Ashleigh Barty, Jonathon Thurston an Daniel Geale. The Deadlys are an annual award celebrating national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander achievement in music, sport, entertainment and community.
